Ways to Volunteer
CASA volunteers are ordinary people doing extraordinary things. They give their time to give NH children a better future.
There are almost 400 CASA/GAL volunteers throughout the Granite State. They come from all walks of life. Professionals. Tradespeople. Mothers. Fathers. Students. Retirees. People who care.
Each day, the phone rings with more cases of children who are victimized. Without additional volunteers, we may not be able to answer their need. We currently have the capacity to accept 70% of the cases as they occur. Our goal is to accept every case we are offered by 2009 - 100% advocacy for the state's children in need. We can't do it without your help.
What kind of help? Volunteers can help CASA of NH in two ways:
Guardians ad Litem (or GALs) are volunteers who are appointed by District and Family Court judges to represent the best interests of a child victim in court cases of abuse and neglect. We look to add 250 additional CASA/GALs to the program in the next two years. Click to learn more about becoming a GAL.
If you cannot commit to becoming a CASA/GAL, we have many ongoing projects through Friends of CASA which would benefit from your special skills. Click to learn more about the Friends of CASA.
